Learn more and upgrade.I volunteer in any environment where I can encourage people to live a longer and healthier life. I have primarily volunteered my time with public speaking, wellness at work workshops in local businesses (& non-profits) as well as working with the City of Kelowna Parks & Rec Department teaching people how to improve their posture and deal more effectively with back and neck pain. I want to freely share what I have learned over the past 25 years so that people can live more joy filled lives.
Kelowna, British ColumbiaLighthouse ChiropracticWhy I volunteered here: To assist the local HR community on strategies that they can use to reduce stress in the workplace. I have a passion for brain biochemistry and how posture and spinal hygiene can negatively impact brain health and stress.
Why I volunteered here: The City of Kelowna needed qualified instructors for their Recreational programs so I created a posture correction program that people could attend to help improve their posture as well as alleviate their back and neck pain.
Why I volunteered here: Global Fitness and Racket Club offers free community talks to it's members and I spoke on the neurology of stress. Posture and spinal position can impact brain biochemistry and brain function to perpetuate a chronic stress response.
Why I volunteered here: Serving people who may not otherwise have the opportunity to access chiropractic care is important to me. Laurence East gave me the opportunity to serve in a very practical way each week by spending an hour or two adjusting the drop in community at Metro. I still adjust some of the Metro Community at my office Lighthouse Chiropractic in Landmark 4, Kelowna.
