Imagine the frustration, isolation and desperation you might feel if you had a disabled limb, had undergone major surgery, or were living with a debilitating illness and had not one person to turn to for support. Your income is $1,000 per month for rent, food and medical necessities. How will you manage to care for yourself and your home? Working with a Social Justice 12 class from a local high school and adult team leaders, on GivingTuesday, Hands in Service will mobilize about 50 individuals to assist clients with basic housekeeping, laundry and simple food preparation. It takes very little to impact the quality of life and hope of a client. Services provide social interaction, pain free in home assistance and give individuals greater independence, connection and hope. #GivingTuesdayCa
