Okanagan Fruit Tree Project

What a day to be outside!
Yesterday the Foundation team joined Valley First’s student interns volunteering with our partner, the Okanagan Fruit Tree Project Society. A 2025 grantee of $15,000, the Okanagan Fruit Tree Project is very busy preparing the farm for a busy growing season. Our team of Jackey, Cooper, Natasha, Dylan, Marc and Alex, joined Katie and Dave setting the rows, hooking up the new irrigation system, and planting 250 tomato plants.

Digging in the dirt knowing the bounty grown will serve our community was a fabulous way to spend our day. More than 100 local schools and social service agencies across the South and Central Okanagan benefit with produce grown and harvested throughout the season.

Volunteers are always needed, be sure to check out their schedule and visit the farm--you’ll leave inspired.
