A record number of charities, 14 to be exact, received an Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union Employees’ Endowment grant, housed with the First West Foundation, early this year as we wrapped up 2022 granting. And the charities didn’t even know they were getting funds until they got the cheque in the mail.
How does that happen?
Well, Envision staff are invited to nominate charities that are near and dear to them. A staff committee adjudicates and makes recommendations and grants are sent out. It’s that simple!
We are very proud of the committee and their grant recommendations which saw 14 charities share in $27,000! Supporting charities in the Envision region since 2009, this unique fund grows through employee donations and has distributed $163,400 through 111 grants…and counting!
