It's the countdown to #GivingTuesday and today we're celebrating the wonderful programming offered by Boys and Girls Clubs of South Coast BC!
This year, a $15,000 grant was awarded to support the Clubs’ after school programs in Delta, Surrey and Langley. 735 children and youth ages 6-18 years have a safe and supportive place to experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life. “When Jimmy first started at the Club, he had many struggles with making friends. Through sports and different outdoor activities, he was able to mature and learn teamwork skills, and now has friends from all age groups. Jimmy now comes to the Club daily and is visibly applying these skills in all aspects and is now one of our kids that has taken a leadership role and helps our younger kids out whenever it is needed.”
