We’re thrilled to recognize the outstanding achievements of Gerri Charles with a $1,000 SimpleGenerosity Volunteer award from Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union.
2020 marks the tenth anniversary for Gerri as Chair of the Crystal Gala Foundation, a volunteer run not for profit, raising funds for breast cancer through the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation. She is the original founder of the Crystal Gala and has committed more than 20 years to raising funds and supporting women and their families living with breast cancer. She is the driving force behind the great work that the foundation is doing which includes the purchase of much needed medical equipment in addition to raising almost 3 million dollars for the cause.
Gerri has a rich history of volunteering and as such has received numerous awards including the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. She has volunteered her time to the Abbotsford Airshow, Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce, Abbotsford Downtown Business Association, Restorative Justice and Advocacy, and BC Summer Games just to name a few.
