Congratulations to SimpleGenerosity Volunteer Award recipients Bill and Dorothy Ballard! Bill and Dorothy have selected SHARE Family & Community Services as the recipient of a $1,000 donation from Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union.
Bill and Dorothy's work with SHARE began when the Coquitlam Food Bank location moved from Como Lake United to Hillside Church in April 2018. Both were invaluable in facilitating the move and ensuring a smooth transition. Bill took his generosity even farther when Hillside partnered with SHARE and was granted $98,000 from the Federal Enabling Accessibility Fund for site improvements to increase barrier free access. Hillside is currently implementing this funding and making their site, which houses a Child Care Facility in addition to the Food Bank, a safer - more accessible location. Bill and Dorothy are always willing to give of their time and work with SHARE and other organizations to ensure community needs are being met. They are committed to improving existing services and serving their community with grace and kindness.
