Today is a national Day of Mourning, a day to remember those that have lost their life due to a workplace illness or accident. Although local ceremonies were not able to run (usually by our local labour movement), we can still take a moment today to remember and honour those that have made the ultimate sacrifice while in the line of duty. Sadly, we remember 140 workers that died from a workplace injury or illness in BC last year. Also, we are all still reeling from the tragic loss of life in Nova Scotia, many in the line of duty. #dayofmourning #NOLC #labour #BCFed #staysafe #staywell
