A Notable Nomination from Island Savings a division of First West Credit Union. Kudos to a #SimpleGenerosityy nomination we received for Maureen Alexander. Maureen has volunteered with the Mill Bay/Malahat Historical Society for over 11 years and is the founder and president. She organizes annual events that include the whole community, produces documentary film involving dozens of volunteers, writes articles for media, coordinates exhibits, helps with guided tours and historic signage in the community, documents seniors stories, supports research and collection of artifacts and archival material-instrumental in establishment of new museum in Mill Bay – just to name a few!
