The YES Project (Youth Engagement Strategy) works side-by-side with young people aged 12 to 24 who want to make a difference in our community.
The YES Project has three main goals: to develop a public awareness campaign; to create more free and accessible youth activities and resources; to build a youth resource centre.
The Youth Resource Centre will be a ‘one-stop’ hub of integrated services for youth aged 12-24 years old with a focus on providing professional services such as mental health support and substance use counselling, as well as offering a safe place for youth to go and access basic needs.
There are over 20 local organizations who are willing to offer their youth services out of the centre. Offering services out of one location will reduce barriers and provide a continuum of preventative and specialized care.
