Thanks to Pushor Mitchell LLP for closing their doors last Friday for their annual United Way Day of Caring at 10 local non-profits from Lake Country to West Kelowna. In total, over 80 staff volunteered 240+ hours at Arion Therapeutic Farm, CRIS Adaptive Adventures, HOPE Outreach, Lake Country Food Bank, Pathways Abilities Society, Central Okanagan Community Food Bank, Central Okanagan Hospice Association, Kelowna Gospel Mission, and School District No. 23 - George Pringle Elementary! Pihl Law Corporation's own Diane Rule was Swinging With The Stars hosted by the Central Okanagan Hospice Association this past Saturday night. We are so proud of her performance and the amount of hard work, heart and soul that went into her preparations for the event. Her fundraising efforts exceeded her original goal of $8,000 for COHA, she learned a choreographed routine and she danced beautifully! Pihl Law Corporation is proud to have been a sponsor and honoured to have been a part of such a meaningful event. Congratulations Diane! You rule!
Here at Pihl Law Corporation, we have a program that allows staff to dress casually on Fridays if they donate a dollar to a fund that gets distributed to different charities based on employee votes. This year, the team at Pihl Law decided to donate to a very special cause - one of our very own paralegals, Diane Rule, is participating the the Central Okanagan Hospice Association Swinging with the Stars fundraising event! You can learn more about Diane, COHA, and this fun and meaningful fundraising event by visiting her fundraising page here: http://hospicecoha.org/special-events/swinging-with-the-stars/team-rule/ Good luck Diane! We're all cheering for you :)
Extremely honoured to have raised over $17,000 for the Central Okanagan Hospice Association at our annual Golf Tournament in August. Thank you to all our participants and sponsors for making this donation possible.
