Hamper Builder

Help provide healthy and nutritious food to those in need

The hamper build line is critical to our program delivery. It is where we assemble the non-perishable portion of our food hampers. Each day, we build up to 100 hampers for the next day’s distribution.
The hamper build line is an assembly line. Volunteers assemble each hamper, item by item. Volunteers work closely with the Warehouse Coordinators to build the hampers required for the next day’s distribution and keep the line stocked. There are several types of hampers, single, couple, family and emergency. Additionally, there are several “supplement bags” to assemble. Each hamper and bag has its own portions and food types. The build line can be a fast paced environment, especially when we run low on a specific hamper or supplement bag.
