We are an organization committed to growing food in the valley for those in need of fresh produce. We have two 1/2 acre plots of donated land that we use to grow vegetables which we then donate to the Lake Country and Kelowna food banks and the Salvation Army. The food banks then distribute the vegetables to various organizations within the valley who then give the food to their clients.
We are a small group of volunteers always looking for more help to plant/weed/pick produce and drive harvests to the small organizations. Our volunteers who come out and help are rewarded for their work by being able to take some produce home at harvest time ;).
We have also been gifted the use of land on which we have set up incubator farms where we are teaching new, start up farmers to grow vegetables and start their own businesses.
